What a quotation covers
A useful quotation separates record review, assessment, report preparation and foreseeable additional work. The volume and condition of the papers can materially affect the estimate.
Legal Aid instructions
Where Legal Aid rates apply, the instructing solicitor remains responsible for obtaining any authority required before work begins. We confirm the relevant rate and estimated hours at quotation stage.
Changes to scope
Supplementary documents, additional questions, conferences, joint statements and attendance are normally outside the original report estimate unless expressly included. Any material change should be agreed before the extra work is undertaken.
